about
Born of a balance between the user and machine, Data Eden explores notions of harmony and disrepair within this relationship, as elements of composed classical, raw MIDI data, found sound, abstracted percussion, and disembodied pop vocals collide and compose in real time and free space. The result creates narratives of data collection, machine learning, and surveillance of simultaneous built density and organic openness. Volatile and contrasting dimensions intersect and are molded into moments of beauty and power within destruction, hope within despair.
